        This section deals with the presence of the ING logo and name in cobranded environments.

        It is necessary that sponsoring guidelines regarding the use of the ING logo and name are captured in the sponsoring contract. Please be aware that only the use of the corporate logo is permitted and no business descriptors are allowed. Respecting these guidelines will contribute to a prominent and consistent appearance of ING in sponsoring projects.

        This chapter contains two situations:

        1. ING as the host of sponsoring projects (Illustration 1).
          Communication items concerning the sponsoring project are developed according to the ING visual style and guidelines. ING is the sender of the message.
        2. The ING logo as a guest in sponsoring projects (Illustration 2).
          The ING logo will be inserted in a style unlike the ING style. The style of the project or a co-sponsoring partner takes precedence.


        1. ING as the host of sponsoring projects
        In situations where ING is a sponsor and develops its own communication items concerning the project, all carriers are developed according to the current ING Basic elements and guidelines. The ING visual style should guide the item's design.

        This situation may concern invitations to clients, gifts or exhibitions stands etc.

        If ING is the host, this means:

        • Application of the Brand Signature, typeface Frutiger and corporate colours.
        • Preferably application of the fixed striping principle.
        • The logo of sponsor partners has a minor position.


        2. The ING logo as a guest in sponsoring projects
        The ING logo will be inserted in a style unlike the ING style. The style of the project or a co-sponsoring partner takes precedence.

        The ING name appears by placing the ING logo or placing the ING name in text. ING is a guest in a non-ING visual environment. However, the general guidelines for applying the logo remain valid.

         

        When communication items are developed by a sponsoring partner, the ING Brand Signature is not applied.
