        Basic brand signature
The basic brand signature is a combination of the logo and the ING orange line trailing on the left side of the page. It has a set position within the white rectangle. The white rectangle has a set size in relation to the overall size of the communication carrier. The following ingredients are part of the brand signature:

        1. Business descriptor
All business descriptors will have a fixed place at the top left hand side of the brand signature. Only approved business descriptors can be applied in the brand signature.

        2. Tagline
The applied tagline must be in line with either ING or ING Direct. ING has not yet defined a global tagline, so the placeholder remains empty. It is not allowed to use a local tagline in the signature zone.

        3. Use of business footnotes
When it is desired to communicate ING’s overall services portfolio, business footnotes may be included in the brand signature. When a business descriptor is used, the footnote cannot be applied within the brand signature.

        4. Use of a call to action
The homepage address or telephone number is in line with the business unit.

        5. Use of disclaimer
When no homepage address or tagline is applied, a disclaimer may be used within the standard size of the brand signature.

        6. Combination of elements
