        Brand identifiers
      • Paragraph

There are two brand identifiers defined in the Corporate Identity of ING. By using these identifiers, our business units will be more strongly identified as being part of one family. We recommend the usage of at least one of the two new brand identifiers: fixed striping and symbols or icons.

        1. Fixed striping
A fixed colour striping contributes to a visually aligned brand yet is a very flexible element. Together with the Brand Signature, it provides a strong brand recognition of “one brand family'? The striping always consists of orange and light blue.

        2. Symbols or icons
One way to create a distinct identity for ING is to use distinct orange icons or symbols in your communications. These symbols or icons should be the focus of the communications and should fit with the overall creative concept. For example, ING Wholesale Banking uses orange ‘Focus Brackets’, ING Direct uses symbols such as an orange pumpkin or a balloon. In selecting an icon, make sure it is appropriate and can be used in a flexible way: that is, it should be suitable for many different forms of communications and over the medium- to long- term.
